Added new version for Qo 1.0 Pre Beta. This is still incomplete!

I think I now have all the localization completed? I have not localilzed the grid column names yet, not sure if that is really needed? Absolutely no server side coding has been tested yet!

Next update should have the grid paging and filtering in place. Guess I will need to localize this afterall?

I am looking for folks to help me test the install before connecting the server side scripting. I am also looking for to move the the Settings Tab to maybe the top of the window near the Min/Max/Close buttons. I think the tabs are taking up too much un-needed space. When completed the Settings Button should only appear if the user/group has those priviledges.

Looking for any ideas/suggestions/bugs.

QO 1 Alpha by Stephen A. Corsons

After playing around abit with the idea of loading code after intial load of the desktop from a previous post in the Help topic. I came up this plugin. It still needs some work, mainly a way to call a particular widget in the AutoRun mode. I don't think I have seen henricd's ux.ManagedIframePanel used in a plugin yet, but I could be mistaken.

Anyways, installation requirements:

Before install:
http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16590 - ux.ManagedIframePanel installed and working in your desktop environment for this plugin to work. Please note the GPL license for this plugin! The latest version is 1.2.3, you will need to look to the Google Code site posting in the forum for this version.

Once those are working, unzip the attached Widgets Plugin file.

Qo 1 Pre Beta:
Upload the unzipped widgets.zip files to the "modules/" folder. The are some added modules for the modules/common folder. The module will automatically add the new AboutWindow Module to the qo desktop for use by other modules.

Qo 1 Alpha
Upload the unzipped widgets.zip files to the "system/modules/" folder.

Setup the widgets.sql file in your database. The db_install.sql file should set this up for either version of qo, please relay any issues??????

Do some testing, then you should be able to allow other groups to use it.

Looking forward to any ideas, suggestions, etc.

Demo link above no longer shows an example of this module that is available for download above! It currently shows an example of the latest widgets plugin. This new plugin is not available for download at the moment since there are many things incomplete in it! This latest module uses the Bogus Module as a framework, you should be able to see the coding in FF using the Firebug tool. Til next time, Mark

For those wishing to help out making this a better plugin I have now attached to current coding of this updated module to this message. This coding is INCOMPLETE, and will be changed alot! This module is working out really well as an alternative method of adding new modules to the desktop. You can check the many examples of how one can use this module at the demo posted in my profile.

Changes still to be made:

Move grid coding to the navpanel.
Add postioning and sizing coding. -- Hoping this option becomes standard qWiki functions!
Add autoshow method/functioning.
Option to start widgets with main module minimized.
The About Module coding needs to be added as well.

Looking forward to any help you can give to make to become COMPLETED quicker.

Here is an updated version of this plugin to work with Stephen A. Corson's new admin module. This version is for QO 1 Alpha. I am currently working on moving this module over to the QO 1 Pre Beta Coding as well as Ext 3.0.3.

Please pass along any bugs!!! Thanks goes to Stephen for the many updates made in the module!
